LG G Flex 2 release date and specs: U.S. and U.K. first, Taiwan next

South Korean mobile and consumer manufacturer LG Electronics recently revealed that the new LG G Flex 2 will be available in Taiwan beginning early next month after being introduced to the U.S. and the U.K. markets. According to LG Taiwan president and CEO Jee Hyung Lee, the new flagship device, known for its curved body and display, is targeted at professionals under the 30-45 age bracket. 

The LG G Flex 2 was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show, and it comes with a 5.5-inch Curved P-OLED capacitive touchscreen featuring a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1-9.4 mm curved body and display, and weight of 152 grams. 

The device is also equipped with Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 processor, as well as an Adreno 430 graphics processor unit. The new flagship device from LG ELectronics also has a couple of internal memory options, namely the 16 GB with 2 GB RAM model and the 32 GB with 3 GB RAM version. 

In terms of its camera features, the LG G Flex 2 comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera located on its rear end, complete with laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, as well as dual-LED flash. The 2.1-megapixel secondary camera, on the other hand, has enough features to take decent selfie shots. 

The battery life of LG G Flex 2 is also impressive since the mobile phone manufacturer included a 3000 mAh battery with the device. It is also fast-charging and can recharge up to 60 percent in just 30 minutes. 

The LG G Flex 2 is carried by Sprint in the U.S., which charges at least $500 for outright purchase. It is also expected to be sold in Taiwan for at least NT$21,900 and NT$22,900 unlocked.
