LG has a slew of premium smartphone offerings in the pipeline but LG G Flex 3 is not one of them, if a new report is anything to go by. Expected to be launched in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show next month, the third iteration of the curved handset will reportedly be foregone by LG.

According to a report, the South Korea-based tech firm will not release the said handset and that the complete lineup has been discarded altogether. The logic behind this purported decision is still unknown so until LG says so, it is best to take this rumor with a pinch of salt.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena points out that there also existed opposing reports about the LG G Flex 3, claiming it will be launched in March. It was even stated that the device will come in a 6-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a metal build.

While the fate of the LG G Flex family hangs in the balance, what LG definitely has in store as per the report is a new pair of top-tier smartphones. The first one is its purported next flagship, the LG G5, which is expected to be unveiled in April next year.

The handset is expected to boast a 5.6-inch Quad HD display, which is teensy weensy larger than that of its predecessor. Humming under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with the camera department composed of a 21-MP rear-facing camera and an 8-MP front-facing shooter.

Lastly, there's also word that LG V10, which was just released back in October, will also get a successor during the latter half of next year. Not much is known about what the device will look like or its specs sheet but Phone Arena points out that there are a lot of aspects LG can upgrade on the dual-screen device.
