LG G3: Free smartphone deal or slash $100 off at Best Buy, plus $100 gift card

Consumers can now take home the LG G3 handset for free or for a discounted price at the US retailer Best Buy.

It seemed that one of the biggest electronics retailers is eager to sell a lot of units of LG G3 as it offers the device for a very attractive price. The retailer gives the consumers paying full price a $100 gift card, which can be used in purchasing other products in the store. Paying the full price promptly will forgo the binding of a two-year contract from the carriers. However, buyers should sign up with Sprint Easy Pay, Verizon Edge or AT&T Next.

Meanwhile, take home the device for free and pay off the balance on the succeeding months on top of the phone bill. The retailer will still gift the buyers a $100 gift card, but the buyers will have to sign a two year contract from their chosen carrier. For a full price of $699.99, one will be paying approximately $25 a month over two years.

Consumers also have the option to buy the device for only $99, which is $100 less than the original price. Buyers can choose from Verizon, AT&T or Sprint to sign the two-year contract. The $100 gift card will still be given, which can be used in the Best Buy's physical store.

According to the spec sheet of LG G3, the handset will feature a 5.5-inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen; a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and a Qualcomm MSM8975AC Snapdragon 801 chipset; 13 megapixel primary back camera with optical image stabilization, phase detection and dual-LED flash and 2.1 MP front facing camera; and 3000 mAh battery.

The handset is available in two variants: the 16GB version will pack 2GB of RAM and the 32GB model will pack a 3GB RAM. Both devices are equipped with microSD slot for additional external storage of up to 128GB. Moreover, the handset will run with Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS, which will be upgraded to Android 4.4.4 version update.
