LG G4 release date imminent: specs, design leaked

LG

The LG G4 was revealed before its official unveiling on April 28, and it did not take any outsider to do the job. Just recently, LG itself published a microsite for the device by mistake, showing the whole world their work on the soon-to-be-released handset.

Because of this massive leak, there are now loads of information about the upcoming smartphone, including its specs. The images from the aforementioned microsite are now all over the Internet, something LG did not manage to avoid despite taking down the page as soon and as fast as they could.

Now, it is widely known that the LG G4 will be featuring a 5.5-inch IPS Quad HD display that LG calls Quantum, which is rich in color but energy efficient. Although quite large, the device's body, which LG describes as "durable and sleek," will feel easy to grip, thanks to its Slim Arc Design.

It will come in two beautiful veneers as its 8.99 mm-thick body can be housed in plastic or genuine leather. The former has white, dark grey, and gold color options, while those who would go for the latter can choose from black, brown, red, light blue, gold, and yellow.

The leaked page also confirmed the use of a 3000 mAh battery unit. However, it did not touch on the processor. It is expected, though, that it will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM.

As for the camera department, the LG G4 will be sporting a 16-megapixel f/1.8 rear-facing shooter, which shoots natural images courtesy of the Color Spectrum Sensor and modes like the light trail and manual mode.

LG may have showed it off early but it is still exciting to see the much-awaited 2015 LG flagship in actuality. The tech firm is set to officially unveil it on April 28.
