LG G4 release date: specs and features roundup for next-gen LG flagship

GSM Arena

It may take a couple of more weeks before the LG G4 actually comes out but for those who are clueless on what the device will have to show, this tweet (said to be accidently but credible) could provide you a glimpse of what to expect.

A tweet from @EvanBlass shows a photo of the said device which looks somehow similar to Oppo or the Nexus 5. Of course, the tweet is unofficial and could be fake so it may be wise not to take it seriously at least for now.

Aside from the controversial tweet, a link to g4.xfb.kr also came up which seemed pretty authentic. However, it would be futile to check out the link since the site has already been taken down. And now the question crops up, was the site inadvertently put live? Was it accidental or done on purpose to rev up some hype for the LG G4's apparent coming?

Whatever the case may be, the leaks seem to be pretty consistent with previous leaked photos.

For the ones who have not yet seen the leaked photos of the LG G4, the said flagship phone of LG comes in an overall form-factor mold which has since been LG's mark.

The LG G4 in the photos offer a carbon-like front finish while a lush leather back cover complete the stylish overall of the LG flagship phone. The leather back cover, if the leaked image holds out, seems to be available in various colors, adding more options for buyers looking to have different and personalized colors they could eventually opt for.

As for the other specs, the LG G4 will feature a 5.5-inch Quantum LCD display, f1.8 Camera aperture and a sketchy toss up on whether the main camera would be 13MP or 16MP. Rumored leaks have it that the LG G4 will come with an Android 4.4.2 though it may not be surprising if that would be bumped to Andrdoi 5.0 Lollipop.
