LG G4 was expected to house Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC, seeing as how it is the direct successor to the company's G3 handset, marking that as the flagship smartphone of the tech firm. However, thanks to a benchmarking report, it has now been revealed that the LG G4 will sport a Snapdragon 808 instead of Snapdragon 810. According to WCCFtech, the LG G4 will pack the same resolution and screen size as the LG G3, which was 2560 by 1440 pixels and 5.5 inches respectively.

While it was expected that G4 was going to house 4 gigabytes of RAM, since the higher performing model of G3 features 3 GB of RAM, the report reveals that the South Korean tech giant's upcoming handset will sport 2.8 GB of RAM, which translates in to the smartphone being equipped with 3 GB. Good news for consumers intending on waiting to purchase the LG G4 will be that the device will be running Google's Lollipop 5.1 update 'out of the box', which should give access to features that were not present in previous updates.

In terms of storage, the LG G4 will possess 32 GB of internal memory, out of which 23 GB will be available to the user. Similar to the LG G3, LG's upcoming flagship offering is also expected to possess a microSD slot with a storage limit of 128 GB. As for image taking and video recording purposes, a rear camera with a 15 MP resolution coupled with a 7 MP front camera sensor have been added. The rear shooter will possess the ability to record 4K videos at a steady frame rate of 30 FPS.

Coming to the primary component of the flagship smartphone, the Snapdragon 808 will feature a hexa-core processor compared to an octa-core processor present on Snapdragon 810. Processor details have been given below:

Once again, the leak coming from the benchmark could be proven false, but confirmation of these specifications can only be given once the device nears its official launch date.
