After the success of the LG G3 last year, LG has created a great following, anticipating the LG G4. Many people thought that the handset will arrive at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress in March.

However, a new report from Korean publication, The Chosun Ilbo, pointed that the LG G4 will skip the aforementioned trade show as the company is still working on and "perfecting" the device. The report cited an unnamed LG executive dishing out the plans of LG Electronics for its flagship smartphone.

"We rolled out the G3 in May last year so we do not plan to unveil the G4 at this year's Mobile World Congress and spend more time perfecting the new phone," said the executive.

This is backed up by previous rumors that LG will follow its release timeline last year, which means that the new handset might be unveiled in May and would be available for purchase the following month.

This, in turn, is supported by the initial statement of another LG executive talking to Trusted Reviews who said the company is experimenting on its high-end smartphones.

"I don't think we are going to be able to sit back and expect people are just going to fawn over the G4, or whatever the name will be, just because they liked the G3. I don't think it works that way anymore. I don't think people are as loyal on the Android side as they are on the iOS side, so you really have to win every customer with your products," LG's Director of Corporate Communications Ken Hong told Trusted Reviews

Meanwhile, the alleged LG flagship smartphone was spotted in various places. The RDF file and a benchmark listing of the handset were seen online. According to the leaks and whispers, the smartphone will pack features such as: 5.5-inch screen display with quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS, 16- to 20-megapixel rear shooter, and longer battery life.
