The LG G5 will be arriving in the U.S. anytime in early April. LG electronics already made the announcement on March 10, and to sweeten things up a little bit, the company will also be throwing in an extra battery and a charging cradle.

After announcing that the LG G5 will be released in Canada and the U.K. on April 8, the company also announced its arrival in the U.S. market. However, pricing and the exact date of release is still unknown at the moment. Many are speculating that it may also be on the same date as the other two countries.

Presswire quoted Morris Lee, senior vice president and head of North American sales and marketing for LG Electronics MobileComm, "You only have to wait a few weeks to get your hands on the LG G5. It's clear from the consumer polls being conducted by the media that people are incredibly excited about the phone and we're very proud of the practical innovations in the G5 and Friends as well."

He added, "The rave responses to the LG G5 from the press and the industry are proof that the smartphone is exciting again and it is obvious that the LG G5 is well worth waiting for."

LG Electronics also announced that the G5 will be coming with a second battery and a charging cradle, but will only be available for a limited time. Currently, no other detail is available. The LG G5 for Canada will come with the Cam Plus when availed of from carriers Rogers and Fido. For the Brits though, Amazon U.K. has none to offer.

The LG G5 is the first modular phone from the South Korean tech giant that offers a 5.3-inch screen with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and contains the latest Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM, and 32GB internal memory (expandable to 200GB via a dedicated microSD slot). It also sports a 16MP main camera, capable of taking wide-angle shots while the front-facing camera is at 8MP.

The body of the newest flagship phone of LG Electronics is made of aluminum and is designed to be modular. Accessories, called LG Friends, can be purchased separately and can provide additional functions for the phone. The LG CAM Plus can create DSLR-quality images; the LG HiFi Plus will put music quality to another level with its DAC amplifier and native DSD playback; the LG 360 VR for virtual reality apps; the LG 360 camera for creating a 360-degree content: and the LG Rolling Bot, for home monitoring, TV controls and several more functions.

The LG G5 will be available through major carriers and retailers in the U.S.
