A whole new truckload of info has further confirmed that the LG G5, the South Korean company's next flagship, will indeed be a formidable mobile offering. One detail that surfaced is that the LG G4 successor will feature a dual rear camera setup.

The information came from a Reddit user, who claimed that on the back of the smartphone, there will be two shooters – one at 16 MP and the other at 8 MP. The leakster even showed an alleged close up photo of the component.

It is also being said that the biometric security measure that the LG G5 will go for is an iris scanning technology. Instead of a fingerprint scanner, which is slowly becoming the norm for top-tier handsets, the flagship will apparently boast an iris scanner from IRIENCE.

Of course, there are still lingering reports that the device will end up with a fingerprint sensor rather than an iris scanner. While the web is still in debate about this, observers agree that the next LG flagship will don an all-metal body.

Know Your Mobile believes that the tech firm should also focus on the design department. Stellar as the specs sheet sounds, the device also needs to look like it does have imposing makings. The aforementioned site says that in terms of appearance, the LG G4 fell short. But this time, the company should be able to make LG G5 look as good as its specs.

As for the rest of the features and specifications of the handset, it is being said that it will boast a 5.3-inch Quad HD display. It will apparently have heart rate, pressure and laser focus sensors. Humming under its hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3 GB RAM boosting its power.

There should be an 8-MP shooter on the front. There's no word on the storage space yet but it is expected to have a microSD slot on board. As for the release date, the most recognized speculation is that the launch will take place on February.
