LG has released in the US the LG Gram, its latest Windows 10-compatible laptop.

The South Korean electronics and consumer electronics manufacturer has been making laptops for several years already, but this is the first time that the company has brought a laptop line to the US.

Regarding the launch, LG Electronics USA Vice President of Marketing David VanderWaal says in a statement (via ValueWalk):

"LG has a long history of developing innovative consumer electronics products and has applied that expertise, along with its laptop success in other markets, to the LG gram series in the U.S. We recognize this is an extremely competitive category, and are confident consumers will respond well to this product that combines powerful performance with lightweight design."

The LG Gram product line is composed of three laptop variants that have sleek and lightweight designs topped with high-end specs.

Two of the variants are 13- and 14-inch models that both weigh 980 grams (2.16 lb). This means that they are lighter than Apple's 11-inch and 13-inch Macbook Air, which weigh 2.38 lb and 2.96 lb, respectively.

The devices both come with Intel Core i5 at 2.2 GHz (turbo up to 2.70GHz), 8 GB of RAM and a 128-GB hard drive space.

Meanwhile, the third varians is another 14-inch device but with higher specs. It is powered by an Intel i7 processor with a speed of 2.4 GHz (turbo up to 3.00GHz), 8 GB of RAM,  and a 256-GB hard drive capacity.

The 13-inch LG Gram laptop is 11.9 inches x 8.4 inches x 0.5 inches while the 14-inch LG Gram variants are 12.8 inches x 8.9 inches x 0.5 inches.

US consumers can purchase the 13-inch and 14-inch LG Gram Ultra-Slim laptops with an i5 processor for $899.99 and $999.99, while the 14-inch LG Gram with an i7 processor sells for $1399.99.
