Tech manufacturer LG has already confirmed that its new flagship follow-up, the LG V20, will debut next month.

According to the original announcement by the South Korea-based tech giant, the LG V20 will be unveiled in a press event in San Francisco on Sept. 6. This means that previous speculations saying LG will be unveiling a flagship release at the IFA are off the mark. This year's IFA in Berlin is set to occur on Sept. 2 to 7. Although LG is expected to appear at the trade show, a separate press event at least a half-world away means that the LG V20 will not be present at the annual conference.

Meanwhile, aside from the release date, LG has yet to come out with details on the LG V20 other than the new follow-up being "world's first phone to launch with Android 7.0 Nougat." In a press statement, Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company, teased, "The LG V20 upgrades and extends its predecessor's cutting-edge multimedia features a step further, providing distinctive mobile experience and sets a new standard for premium phones for consumers."

One of the most noted features of last year's launch of the LG V10 is its dual-screen feature. Aside from the 5.7-inch QHD main screen, the flagship also sports a smaller, always-on screen at the top. The smaller display serves as notifications and apps center for the iteration, and users can customize the interface. In addition, the LG V10 also came out with dual-cam selfie shooters, with each camera having a 5MP setup. If the supposed leaked specs of the V20 are to be believed, fans are looking at a 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution, a Snapdragon 820 processor, and either 3GB or 4GB RAM.
