Early reviews of the LG V20 are out and while there were many good things about LG's latest offering, it is faced with some tough competition in the market.

The new phone runs on a 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and boasts of a 5.7 inch Quad HD IPS with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. It also has a secondary display with 160 x 1040 pixels at 3.1 inches.

It operates with the use of Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat, but unfortunately lost the right to being the first phone to have the OS as the Google Pixel already claimed the honor, reported CNet.

The phone has a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB internal storage with a provision for microSD card expansion.

What makes the LG V20 special is its dual rear cameras – a 16 megapixel and 8 megapixel camera while the front shooter is at 5 megapixel.

Music lovers will get a kick out of it's bottom facing mono speaker.

As for batteries, it sports a 3,200 mAh removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

"That said, the LG V20 will be launching this week and it is a fantastic option for Android smartphone fans. As I stated in my first impressions, the more I use the LG V20 the more I like it. Now that I have it loaded up with all of my favorite apps and have been using it as my daily driver it is definitely a device to consider," ZDNet's Matthew Miller said in his review, citing the specs of the LG V20 for consideration. However, he said that it was on the heavy side and that it is not water resistant.

Meanwhile, some buyers of the V20 have reportedly experienced some issues with the quality of glass used for the phone's cameras. Some users have even taken to Reddit to share their experience of the glass shattering easily.

According to a tip by 9to5 Google, this is not a reason not to buy the phone altogether, but it would be wise to keep the protective film on to protect the camera glass.
