LG Electronics has just released its latest flagship phone, the V20, in the United States. Now it is speculated that a smaller variant, the V20S, will arrive soon in Europe. It has been discovered on a recent trademark filing in the continent. It is also suggested that it the device will be water protected.

According to Phone Arena, the LG V20S is speculated to be the same model as the LG isai Beat, that was already released in Japan. The Japanese version exactly looks the same as the U.S. release but with a smaller screen, 5.2-inch Quad HD display to be exact. Not all the flagship features of its bigger brother come with the small device. For instance, instead of a 64 GB internal storage, the smaller version only comes with a 32 GB space. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip with an Adreno 530 GPU and running at 2.2 GHz, powers both devices.

Additionally, the alleged device could also have a 4 GB system memory, 16 MP main rear camera, and a wide-angle secondary rear camera, and the front will have a 5 MP selfie camera. The device could also have 4 GB of system memory, microSD slot, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It could also weigh in at 146 grams and comes with the measurements of 72mm x 149mm x 8.0mm. The European version will also run on Android 7.0 Nougat coated with the LG user interface, similar to the other models. For extras, it will be water protected, which is a big welcome to many users. Now again, this information is based on the Japanese version. LG has not released any information for the LG V20 S.

Now, smartphone users are hoping that the rumored LG V20 S will not end up like the LG G5 SE that was released last year for the European market. It was also really a mid-range model that looks like the flagship G5.

Meanwhile, Verizon is currently offering the LG V20 in its BOGO (Buy One, Get One) promo deal. Individuals purchasing the said unit will have the option to acquire the LG Stylo 2 V for US$1 a month. A B&O PLAY earphones also come in for free.
