The latest midrange smartphone from LG, X Power 2, lives up to its name by carrying a sizable 4,500 mAh battery.

The LG X Power 2 was announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February. Being a midrange smartphone, the X Power 2 doesn't include spectacular specifications that you would expect from a high-end smartphone. It has a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution and includes 2 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 16 GB of storage that may be expandable. The phone comes with ordinary cameras: a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel shooter on the back. Both cameras come with LED flash for better images.

The only thing that the X Power 2 has to be able to compete with other smartphones is its large battery. The smartphone is supposed to last as long as a weekend without needing to be recharged. An X Power 2 that is fully charged is supposed to last through 26 hours of voice calls, 19 hours of browsing the internet or 18 hours of video playback.

Smartphone users who are constantly on their phones may want to think about purchasing this phone rather than carrying around an additional battery charger. The first available software on the smartphone will be the Android 7.0 Nougat.

When the LG X Power 2 was announced at MWC 2017, LG representatives said the phone would be available by June, but current reports have said that the LG X Power 2 is already being shipped out in the United States, which means that there's a possibility that the phone will be available to purchase before the start of June.

LG X Power 2 is priced at $199, but the cost may vary depending on the country that the smartphone is purchase in. Buyers of the smartphone will be able to choose from four available colors: Black Titan, Shiny Blue, Shiny Gold, And Shiny Titan.
