The Reds are spending their pre-season in the USA on tour but back home talks are ongoing to get the squad in shape before the Premier League starts on August 16.

Transfer talks on a triple deal for Liverpool are reportedly in their final stages, with Liverpool close to completing no less than three deals.

With an £8m deal on the table, QPR star Loic Remy is reportedly flying out to the US for a medical but Brendan Rodgers is scoping out a couple of other players to bolster the squad following Luis Suarez's departure.  

The France international spent the last season on loan to Newcastle where he scored an impressive 14 goals. The 27-year-old had looked like he was going to Arsenal but they failed to agree terms, freeing him up for a move to Anfield.

The Reds closing in on Belgian striker Divock Origi with a £10m deal.  There is speculation he may also fly out to the States for a medical this week.  

The 19-year-old currently plays for Lillie but could soon be heading to Anfield after his impressive turn at the World Cup.

Croatia defender Dejan Lovren is also close to a move to Anfield from Southampton, following behind former team mates Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.  

The Times reports Southampton agreed to sell for around £20m, having previously rejected an offer from Liverpool for that sum.  

Speaking to Fox Sport, Southampton manager Ronald Koeman said he didn't want to lose the Croatian defender and that if the Saints parted with him it would only be for a "top price".

The Express put the transfer sum for the 25-year-old former Lyon player at £16m for a four-year deal. 

That would leave Koeman with a gap to fill in his own team and he is already thinking about Ron Vlaar.  

"Ron would definitely be an option," he told Fox Sport.  "But I think he won't be cheap right now.  Let's just wait and see."

Closing the triple deal would take Rodgers' spending for the summer to almost £100m.
