After  releasing a new trailer for Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine solo film, "Logan," 20th Century Fox also released a poster for the upcoming Marvel superhero mutant film. Though the poster may seem simple and unassuming, it looks like the new collateral confirms the fans' suspicions about the film.

According to a report by Movie Pilot, fans firmly believe that aside from the new trailer released by 20th Century Fox, the new poster for "Logan" can also give a pretty solid idea of what to expect from Jackman's last run as Wolverine. Depicting  Logan on the run whilst carrying X23, the very young mutant played by Dafne Keen, some believe that the poster solidifies theories that the film would be more about Wolverine's frantic attempts to protect the young mutant than about his deals with Patrick Stewart's Professor X.

Though fans of Stewart might be disappointed that the professor won't be taking a larger role in the film, "X-Men" fans might be interested to note that the film could serve as a origin story for Laura Kinney, otherwise known as X-23.This could strengthen the fans' theories that X-23 from the Marvel "X-Men" comic books would be further stamped out in the franchise, hopefully with a film of her own someday.

Meanwhile, in other news about the upcoming "Logan," Slash Film reports that Boyd Holbrook has officially been confirmed for the part of Donald Pierce, a cyborg that hates mutants and has connections with the Hellfire Club introduced by "X-Men: First Class."

In the comics, Pierce starts forming a team of lethal cyborgs under an organization called the Reavers. Operating with one goal in mind, the Reavers set out to kill the mutants in hiding and in some segments of the comics, readers find the cyborgs doing a heavy number on old man Logan. If the film were to follow the comics, it seems like fans would definitely been in for some R-rated fight scenes.

"Logan" is slated to premiere on March 3 next year.
