'Longmire' season 4 spoilers: First photos from Netflix unveiled

Longmire season 4

After seeing the first trailer for the fourth season of "Longmire" on Netflix, fans can now enjoy browsing through a series of fresh photos taken from the fan-favorite crime drama series. The Huffington Post recently posted several still images from the scenes that will be aired in the upcoming season.

In one of the photos, Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is seen entering a home where Barlow Connally (Gerald McRaney) is playing the piano. According to several spoilers, Barlow knows several information that Walt can use to tie up the long-running mystery regarding his wife's death.

Early reports about the return of the series claimed that season 4 will begin to discuss the aftermaths of the big revelation in the season 3 finale, where Walt found out who killed his wife. The Absaroka County sheriff will start hunting down his wife's murderer for revenge, but will his dark, dangerous instincts brought by anger completely consume him?

"Longmire" season 4 almost never got the chance to return on air when A&E decided to cancel the series despite its huge following because it allegedly did not fit the network's demographics. Fortunately, online entertainment Web streaming provider Netflix chose to pick up the show after Warner Horizon Television listened to the fans' request and looked for a new network that could launch the Western-inspired crime drama.

According to the show's executive producer Hunt Baldwin, the sudden move to Netflix became a blessing in disguise.

"The stories feel more complete and more complex because we're allowed to keep everything we envisioned in the beginning in the episodes," Baldwin stated in an interview posted by the Entertainment Weekly during the 2015 Television Critics Association press tour.

But aside from his plotted revenge for his wife's murderer, Walt's hands is full of new cases, as the series of pictures shows him in action while checking out the newly opened casino in his jurisdiction. There is also a photograph where he and his deputies Vic Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) as well as The Ferg (Adam Bartley) are seen working on a new crime in a lake.

"Longmire" season 4 is slated to come out on Netflix beginning Sept. 10.
