"Longmire" season 4 just recently hit Netflix, with all 10 episodes released on the streaming network this past Sept. 10. The previous 3 seasons were initially released on A&E but are now available on Netflix as well. Now it appears that the show may still move forward with future seasons. 

In an interview with Collider, "Longmire" stars Robert Taylor and Lou Diamond Phillips — who play the titular character Longmire and his friend Henry Standing Bear, respectively — revealed that the fourth season would not wrap things up entirely, keeping the doors open for a fifth season. 

When asked if the fourth season would conclude the story, Taylor responded with a definitive, "Oh, hell no! We all need a job in season 5. We're not closing anything." 

Phillips echoed this and explained that "there are some very dramatic developments in season 4."

"If something is resolved, perhaps the manner that it's resolved might blow something else apart. There's a lot of big stuff going on. It's very hard to talk about it without giving anything away, but there's a lot of stuff going on. All will be explained pretty quickly," he said. 

Fans speculate that Netflix will continue with at least one or two more seasons after this fourth season as it would have been a waste of resources to pick up the show and then drop it after just one season. Netflix has revived other cable shows in the past and it is highly likely that it will keep "Longmire" going for some time.

However, Netflix has not yet officially announced that a fifth season is indeed underway, so at this point, any news of a revival for "Longmire" is still a rumor. The fourth season did end on a cliffhanger, so it is possible that Netflix has a fifth season already planned out but has not yet announced it.
