It seems that "Longmire" fans find themselves in the same situation – fighting for renewal of their beloved series. "Longmire" season 5 is still in the balance with Netflix yet to make an announcement about a possible new run for the series.

When A&E cancelled the crime drama last year, the streaming giant became a shining beacon of hope for fans by picking up the show and giving it another shot as a web series. Before that, the cast and crew and of course, the fans, fought long and hard to save the show.

Now, fans once again campaign for "Longmire" season 5, hoping to pull off what they did last year that gave the show a chance to continue. Just recently, the show's horde of devoted followers apparently came together in a bid to show their power and their passion to see more of Sheriff Walt Longmire's stories.

It remains to be seen whether or not this convention is successful to sway Netflix into giving the series another run (if it ever decided to cancel it and is just waiting for the right time to break the news) or making the company feel that fans are growing more anxious about learning what will become of their favorite series.

While "Longmire" season 5 seems to be a long shot at this time (it has been a month since season 4 episodes dropped on Netflix), the ray of hope for fans comes in the form of the cast members' excitement and interest to be back to work for new episodes.

As per reports, Ally Walker, who plays the role of Dr. Donna Sue Monahan, was purportedly resolute about the fact that "Longmire" will get a new season. Adam Bartley aka The Ferg, on the other hand, gushed over how great it is working on an episode that is basically a movie in itself.
