A "Longmire" season 6 renewal is expected to be announced anytime now, and fans believe that the recent tweet of cast member Katee Sackhoff could be hinting the news.

The actress, who plays Vic in the series, tweeted out "Best news ever." She wrote this phrase six times to convey her excitement before adding "Can't tell you yet!!!"

Many fans were quick to speculate that this news is about the "Longmire" season 6 renewal, which, looking at Netflix's history, should arrive anytime soon.

A new season of "Longmire" is expected to be confirmed early next month. Carter Matt points out that Netflix waited a little more than a month after the release of the fourth season to announce the fifth.

The streaming giant, of course, does this to collect the necessary data and information about the show's performance, which is necessary for them to decide the fate of the former A&E show.

"Longmire" season 5 was confirmed late October, although season 4 premiered Sept. 10. That should give Netflix time to gauge the viewership.

This should prove true for "Longmire" season 6. The previous season premiered Sept. 23, so a mid-November renewal might be on the table.

It is important to note that radio and television broadcaster Charles Adler revealed this on his radio show, "The Charles Adler Show." He interviewed Craig Johnson, the author of the books where the show is based on, when Adler spilled the beans on the "Longmire" season 6 renewal already.

"So anyone who's listened to me on this show knows how crazy I am about this Netflix show 'Longmire' and I'm happy to report that 'Longmire' has now been renewed for a sixth season," Adler said before he introduced Johnson.

As for Sackhoff's clue, the star's involvement in the "Battlestar Galactica" had some hoping this will be the big news. Others surmise that her "best news ever" is a baby bump.
