The much awaited "Lords of the Fallen" sequel will see the light of day sometime soon. The news about the development of "Lords of the Fallen 2" was confirmed by game developer Deck 13, although the sequel is still in its very early stages.

"We're now working on a vision and concepts for Lords 2," stated game producer Tomasz Gop, who refused to comment further about the other details of the game.

"Lords of the Fallen," distributed by Bandai Namco Games, was released in October 2014. It earned positive reviews from players and critics alike. One of the reviews claim that the game developer managed to create amazing atmospheric worlds as well as an incredible combat system, making it an enjoyable game to play.

Some reviews say that it is somehow similar to another open-world game, "Dark Souls," because of its fighting styles, but others disagree, saying that it is unfair to compare a new game to a more popular one.

But despite the comparison, the game allegedly sold more than 700,000 units to date, 200,000 of which were bought from various retail stores. Because of the good sales of the game during the first three months of its release, a sequel comes as no surprise.

The story of the original game revolves around the character of Harkyn, an imprisoned druglord who has runes on his face. Players need to combat all the evils by taking Harkyn's role.

"Lords of the Fallen" was developed by Deck 13 Interactive and CI Games, and it was published by CI Games and Square Enix. The game is distributed by Bandai Namco, although there is no news yet if the same group will be responsible for the sequel.

The release date for "Lords of the Fallen 2" is still undisclosed as of the moment.
