The Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin may be switching his jersey in the upcoming 2016-2017 NBA season if the team's deal with the Chicago Bulls pushes through.

The latest trade rumors revealed that the Clippers and the Bulls are in the middle of a deal where the latter could acquire the 27-year-old power forward in order to strengthen their roster.

If Griffin will move to Chicago, he will be teamed up with the newly acquired players Rajan Rondo and Dwayne Wade so they can have a better chance to lead the Central Division.

The Clippers, on the other hand, are expecting to get good trade offers from the Bulls for their own advantage. According to reports, the team is looking forward to acquire power forwards Taj Gibson and Nicola Mirotic in exchange of Griffin to further enhance the team's defense strategies.

Griffin, the 2011 NBA Rookie of the Year awardee and five-time NBA All-Star player was reportedly placed in the trading block of the Clippers because of his injuries during the previous season.

But no final decision has been made regarding the possible Clippers-Bulls trade for Griffin at the moment.

Aside from the Bulls, Hoops Habit also revealed that the Boston Celtics is also trying to acquire Griffin to fill-in their power forward position. The Cleveland Cavaliers may also vie to get Griffin in their team and enter a deal with the Clippers by offering Kevin Love.

Meanwhile, CBS reported that the Clippers already signed former Lakers forward Brandon Bass to a one-year contract.

According to the report, the 31-year-old power forward closed a deal with the team this week. This means that he will be reunited with coach Doc Rivers after he played under him in Boston for two seasons.

Official announcements about the latest trade speculations involving the Clippers is expected to be announced before the trade deadline lapses
