Will he or will he not suit up again the purple and gold?

As many Los Angeles Lakers fans perhaps know by now, 35-year-old veteran Metta World Peace has been trying to get himself back into shape and vie for a possible slot with the Lakers.

Although there is no word yet on whether or not Peace will make it, the fact remains that he could still make a difference to the team, especially on the defensive end.

Additionally, he could help hone the skills of the Lakers' frontline seeing he has been known as a defender and someone who knows how to match up roughly against opposing players.

It was about last week when word came out that the temperamental forward was trying to whip himself back into shape and was close to signing a one-year pact for the Lakers.

Peace was waived by the Lakers back in 2013 and the NBA vet ended up hooking with the New York Knicks. After being cut in New York, Peace tried his luck overseas but never really made an impact.

So news about his possible return comes a bit of a surprise, although he is only 35 and could still keep up with the current crop of NBA players.

The Lakers don't exactly have a tough lineup sans Kobe Bryant heading into the 2015–16 NBA season.

They are filled with a lot of new faces and promising future stars. The interest in Peace could signify that the Lakers want to toughen up the youngsters, particular Julius Randle.

Should he end up donning the Lakers uniform once more, he would probably come off the bench or play limited minutes. That is unless he proves he deserves to be on the floor longer as the team would benefit well from his veteran smarts.
