It seems like time is catching up with Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant who in their 111–77 defeat to the Golden State Warriors last Tuesday tied his career-worst in shooting. 

Bryant shot one of 14 from the field and had four points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 25 minutes of action. 

In the past, Bryant has been known as a great and clutch shooter but this season, which is his 20th in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and with the Lakers, it has been one area of his game that has been a continuous issue. 

Despite the struggles, the 37-year-old is not worried and said the shooting will get better as the season progresses, ESPN reported. 

"I could've scored 80 tonight. It wouldn't have made a damn difference. We just have bigger problems. I could be out there averaging 35 points a game. We'd be what, 3-11?" Bryant also stated. 

The five-time NBA champion added that they need to find ways on how to play "systematically" which will put them in a better position to compete. 

In 11 games played this 2015–16 season, Bryant is averaging 15.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 30.5 minutes played per contest. 

Another factor that may be considered is that the former Most Valuable Player (MVP) is also playing at the small forward position to give way for young guards Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell. 

But so far it looks like the lineup scheme is not working as the loss to Golden State was the fourth consecutive for Los Angeles, which placed them last in the Western Conference standings with a 2–12 record. 

In the report by ESPN, Bryant admitted that the shooting night he had against the Warriors was tough and also revealed that it was frustrating, which he mentioned affected his shots. 

Up next for the struggling Lakers is a road trip on Saturday to take on the Portland Trail Blazers for the second time this season, before heading back to Staples Center the next day to host the Indiana Pacers.
