Los Angeles Lakers vs New York Knicks NBA trade news: Warriors David Lee may join Lakers or Knicks

The Golden State Warriors are currently battling the Cleveland Cavaliers this season for a chance to win their first championship since 1975 and with the pieces seem complete for the Western Conference champions, two-time All-Star David Lee leaving this offseason will be a possibility.

Lee is currently the highest-paid player in the lineup as the Warriors gave him $15 million for the season and another $15 million next season.

But his role with the team started to decline after suffering a hamstring injury during the preseason and missed the first 24 games of the 2014-15 season.

Forward Draymond Green replaced Lee in the starting lineup and performed very well that he remained a starter even though the 32-year-old already recovered from injury.

Since then Lee spent more time on the bench than on the court and with guard Klay Thompson and Green proving their worth is more than their current salary, the Warriors are expected to give them a bigger deal and cut or trade the veteran big man.

In a report by Yibada.com, Lee can either go to the Los Angeles Lakers or his former team the New York Knicks because they are the franchises that have the cap space to accommodate Lee's current contract.

According to the report, since Lee did not fit in Steve Kerr's system this season he was unable to record the usual double-double numbers he had in the past few years.

But if given the chance and the playing time, Lee can still perform the same way he did in his past and again establish himself as a dominant big man in the league.

Yibada.com said Lee's skills will fit very well with the Knicks' triangle offense and he can still be a steal for the Lakers this offseason if they fail to acquire Marc Gasol or LaMarcus Aldridge.

The Lakers and Knicks are rebuilding and are trying to be quick contenders and the addition of Lee will be huge for either team.

Eating - and eating together - is never a side note in the biblical story. It is one of the ways God forms community, renews covenant, and reveals Himself.
