'Love and Hip Hop: New York' news: Erica Mena boycotts show, Santana promotes suicide awareness

In a show where Erica Mena and ex-girlfriend Cyn Santana are together, plus Mena's fiancé Shad Moss a.k.a. Bow Wow in the same TV program, tension is sure to erupt in the corner. It is not difficult to see the awkwardness of the entire situation, with all three of them together. So before things could take a turn for the worst, Mena has apparently decided to leave "Love & Hip Hop: New York."

Moss appeared in Access Hollywood for a brief chat about his career, love life and personal life. In the interview, he shared that fiancé Mena will not be returning to the show because she has a lot of things going for her like her clothing line. Further, she is already looking forward to moving in with him.

Meanwhile, Santana recently admitted that hearing about Mena and Moss' engagement has been difficult for her.

"I was actually at a bar with one of my best friends and somebody sent me a picture, the screenshot of I think it was her hand on his and like a paragraph, 'I'm sorry,' you know.. I didn't understand it. I didn't understand the picture and then of course you get on Twitter and everyone's writing to you and telling you... It was a bit difficult. I was confused. I was confused for a long time," Santana told VH1.

But aside from the broken heart, Santana also has to deal with the death of her brother who took his own life. Now, she is channelling her energy into helping people become aware of suicide and its prevention.

Taking to Instagram, she recently posted, "This was a tribute song to my brother, Joel. I would have never imagined losing someone to suicide and then later having to express my feelings through a song. This was so hard to do. The process, was very difficult... But my brother and knowing I can help save a life with this story kept me going strong."

Show head Mona Scott-Young hasn't yet made any comment about Mena's decision to leave the series. But apparently, Mena boycotted taping of some episodes and didn't meet with Young for their talk. All signs point to the reality star no longer interested in doing the show.
