'Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta' season 5 episode 8 spoilers: Scrapp calls the family together

VH1

"Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" is about to be struck with grave news in season 5 episode 8, titled "Common Ground," as Scrapp DeLeon calls for a family meeting regarding his upcoming prison sentence. As stated in a synopsis from VH1, he'll be calling in Sas, KK, Stevie J, and girlfriend Tommie to make an announcement.

As pointed out in a report from Inquisitr, Scrapp was arrested as far back as 2014 due to trafficking a large amount of marijuana and was later convicted in January this year. The rapper was sentenced to imprisonment for 20 years but will be spending only five years in jail and the other 15 years out but on probation.

It is speculated that Scrapp will have to make announcements regarding how his life in prison will affect his time on the show, how he will communicate with Tommie and the rest of the group and what kind of complications may have risen in the past few weeks. Fans are still not aware if there have been any legal complications to his case.

According to TV Guide, Scrapp is going to get "devastating" news, which may mean he will be spending a much longer time in jail than previously believed or it may be about his presence on "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta."

While Scrapp deals with his impending jail time, his mother KK will get around to spending time with Tiarra, the mother of Scrapp's children and the rival to Tommie. According to the synopsis, the two women will try to find some common ground in order to be friends and work things out now that they need each other more with Scrapp in jail.

In the meantime, K. Michelle will encounter both Betty Idol and D. Smith at her party while Jessica Dime decides it's time to go a little deeper with her relationship with Scrappy.

The episode will air on May 23.
