As fans of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" already know by now, the reality show has been renewed for a fifth season. The revelation might seem like good news for most of its fans and cast members, but there are two people who are definitely not happy.

TMZ has reported that two of "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta's" cast members have been fired shortly before filming began. Margeaux Simms and Merike Palmiste have claimed that they won't be returning for the show's fifth season after being asked to leave. Margeaux and Merike were first introduced in season 4 of the Atlanta-based reality series.

Producer Nikko London is married to Margeaux, but their relationship has been on the rocks for a long time, especially after the former's sex tape with fellow cast member Mimi Faust. The scandal put a strain on their marriage, and Margeaux is now with her girlfriend, Merike. Their tumultuous relationship (and eventual separation) was going to be featured in season 5, but after taking recent reports into account, it looks like that plan's future is quite bleak.

Margeaux and Merike's season 5 contracts had already been signed. And what's worse is that the couple's signed releases have not been made available to them, which can only mean that they won't be able to work on other television shows. Both stars' lawyers have already demanded for the signed release, but have not received anything from "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" producers.

The reason behind Margeaux and Merike's firing is currently unknown. "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" producers also remained mum on the reason behind their decision and did not even offer an explanation to the pair. TMZ has reportedly contacted VH1 for comments but have not heard back.

No official premiere date has been announced for "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" season 5, but it will most likely be sometime in 2016.
