Wichita Police Officer Charley Davidson said that the Wichita police closed the emergency operations center tip line. Meanwhile, the probable cause affidavit revealed the reason why Lucas Hernandez's stepmother, Emily Glass, was charged with child endangerment — she smoked marijuana the day before she reported that Lucas was missing.

Davidson said the police's decision to close the tip line came following a decline in tips. He said that they are still going through with the investigation, asking the public to continue giving any information or tip regarding the whereabouts of the missing five-year-old. Since the tip line was closed, Police are asking tipsters to contact either detectives or Crime Stoppers.

Davidson also mentioned that they have been working together with Texas EquuSearch, which is a mounted search and rescue team for missing persons. Lucas has been missing for more than 20 days. It was earlier reported that over 100 law enforcement officers made use of horses, dogs and drones to look for the missing boy. 

Meanwhile, the probable cause affidavit revealed that Glass told the police that she had smoked marijuana the day before she filed the missing person report. She said she had "smoked a few bowls" of marijuana. After doing so, she and her one-year-old daughter drove to Olive Garden for dinner.

Glass was charged with endangering her one-year-old child. The reason for the charge was not revealed until the affidavit was made public. She was originally charged with two counts of child endangerment — one for Lucas and one for her daughter.

She is currently held in the Sedgwick County Jail in lieu of her $50,000 bond. Glass is asking the judges to change her bond. Her attorney, Julia Leth-Perez argued that Glass does not pose any threat or harm to the community. Moreover, Perez said that the $50,000 bond is too high and that the "facts and circumstances do not support the current bond amount."

Lucas is five years old. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 4 feet tall and weighs about 60 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt with a bear on it, black sweats and white socks. For those who have information regarding his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately.
