In the next episode of the fantasy police procedural comedy-drama television series "Lucifer," Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) finally come face-to-face with the Sinnerman in the midst of looking into why the favors of his recipients start to turn up dead. The upcoming installment titled "The Sinnerman" will also see Detective Pierce (Tom Welling) return to work after getting shot, and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) finding a new love interest.

The promo for "The Sinnerman" opens with Lucifer and Chloe investigating a murder. Lucifer realizes that the recent killings are somehow connected to him saying "This isn't just a murder, it's another message." Lucifer is quite certain that the Sinnerman is sending him subliminal messages through the murders. The trailer also highlights how dangerous the Sinnerman can be and how Lucifer is determined to punish him.

Aside from the mentioned storylines, the synopsis for "The Sinnerman" from TV Guide reveals that Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) will find a new career. Although it is not the narrative most "Lucifer" fans look forward to, it will be interesting to see where the showrunners will take Charlotte in the upcoming episodes.

In the previous episode, the plot centered on the relevant issue of image obsession. The installment titled "Chloe Does Lucifer" showcased the importance of family bonding as Lucifer, Amenadiel, Chloe, and Trixie (Scarlett Estevez) were seen playing the game of Monopoly together. It was interesting to see Amenadiel realize his more pleasing persona other than just being a vindicator. Nonetheless, he was obviously still trying to hide his good side to be the person he wants himself to be.

The episode also Lucifer showed Lucifer enjoying the company of his Amenadiel, Chloe, and Trixie. He was also trying very hard to hide his soft side as he chose to be tagged as the nemesis in the game.
