All hell breaks loose on the upcoming episode of "Lucifer" season 3.

Titled "Infernal Guinea Pig," next week's episode will focus on a murder investigation that will put the spotlight on the dark side of Hollywood. While in the process of finding new leads, Chloe (Lauren German) puts her safety on the line just to protect an innocent victim involved in the case.

Meanwhile, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) comes up with a hell-raising plan to help Cain (Tom Welling). Things suddenly take an unexpected turn when Amenadiel (DB Woodside) and Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) get involved with Lucifer's scheme.

A sneak peek for episode 16 opens with Lucifer having a discussion with Chloe. "Why does the Bolivian cartel want a Hollywood assistant dead?" he asks Chloe while opening a drawer. They discover that the drawer is actually filled with bombs that will blow up if they move out of the building. The last scene shows Lucifer pulling out a wire from the bomb.

TV Line reports the upcoming episode will also introduce Cain's slain brother Abel. However, instead of casting a new male actor, the series has tapped "Orange Is the New Black" alum Lauren Lapkus. Lucifer will venture to Hell to visit the dead brother of the World's First Murderer.

It turns out Abel has returned to Earth and has taken over the body of Bree, a woman who passed away after suffering severe internal injuries in an explosion. When Bree is brought back from the dead with Abel's soul using her body, Lucifer and Cain must race the clock to find him/her before it's too late.

Lapkus' most recent TV shows include HBO's "Crashing," "The Earliest Show" and "Orange Is the New Black." She also served as a voice actress for several animated programs, including "Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero," Ginger Snaps," "Adventure Time" and "American Dad!"

"Lucifer" season 3 airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
