Macaulay Culkin death hoax: Actor is 100 percent alive, posts humorous Instagram photo

Macaulay Culkin is alive and kicking, and to prove to everyone stating otherwise, he posted an Instagram photo of himself lying lifeless in the arms of a bandmate, replicating an iconic scene from the famous '80s dark comedy "Weekend at Bernie's."

To further dispel the rumors, the 34-year-old actor and musician posted another photo of himself smiling and rather full of life while holding up a beverage, and he captioned the post with "We're on tour you silly people."

He also tweeted, "One of the great things you can do when you're alive is stop for lunch in Breaux Bridge, LA," and accompanied the message with a photo of him and his band, The Pizza Underground, along with colleagues, to prove he's all well and good.

His representative, as cited by the Independent, has made efforts in debunking the buzz as well.

"He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax," Culkin's representative confirmed. "He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet."

On Nov. 7, the world-famous child star fell victim into a death hoax, following many other celebrities who got preyed upon by the same awful sham. The buzz came from MSNBC.website.com, a website intentionally patterned from the authentic MSNBC, all for confusion. The report stated that Culkin was found dead in his Manhattan apartment.

"Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member," the website claimed. "At least one occupant of the Manhattan apartment confirmed the apartment belongs to Culkin but police have not confirmed the man's identity at this time."

While social media went ridiculously frenzied over the death news, an alive and active Culkin was busy touring in Austin with his band. During the Fun Fun Fun Fest on Saturday, Jen Clapp tweeted the "first words" Culkin uttered after his "death": "I'm alive!"

Everyone can now breathe out as the "Home Alone" star is still here to continue his musical and maybe acting endeavors.
