MacBook Pro 2014 launch in September as previous models receive discounts

MacBook Pro 2014 release date is rumored to take place in September and the previous models received discounts.

It seemed that the fall this year will be the busiest time of the year for Apple as the upgraded version of the MacBook Pro is said to be arriving in September, according to analysts. The same timeline will also herald other Apple products such as iPhone 6, iPad and the company's operating systems.

Previous models of MacBook Pro 2014 shaved off some prices. In Amazon, the higher end 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM costs $1,399, which is $100 less than its original price.

The lower-end 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage and the higher-end with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM cost $1,849.99 and $2,449, respectively on Amazon, Adorama, and B&H. The prices were $150 off its original price.

Meanwhile, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that Apple will release a 12-inch fanless MacBook device. Moreover, the analyst said that the company is prepping for the September release date of the said laptop.

This year's version of the MacBook Pro is reportedly to pack Intel Broadwell chips, a fanless design and a new trackpad. The new processor is claimed to be more powerful. The upcoming trackpad will provide tactile feedback for enhanced experience.

The release of a revamped MacBook is in lieu of Intel's announcement of its new 14nm Core M Broadwell processor. According to the announcement of the chip maker company, "The IntelĀ® CoreTM M processor will deliver the most energy-efficient Intel Core processor in the company's history. The majority of designs based on this new chip are expected to be fanless ..."

However, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the production of the said processors was delayed but the chips will surely arrive this year. "I can guarantee for holiday, and not at the last second of holiday...Back to school - that's a tight one. Back to school you have to really have it on-shelf in July, August. That's going to be tough," he said.

This could mean that MacBook Pro 2014 release date will be in time for the holiday season. However, Apple has not announced the details of its upcoming devices as well as its timeline in launching these gadgets.
