A recent in-depth look by "60 Minutes" into the inner workings of Apple blew up online after some viewers believed that they may have just seen the MacBook Pro 2016 for the first time during the program.

During the scene featuring an Apple leadership meeting, the "60 Minutes" camera panned over to one side of the office where there was a laptop that could be seen in the background.

Viewers immediately looked closer at the mysterious laptop, with some suggesting that it looked different enough from the current model that it may just be the new MacBook Pro set to come out next year.

Viewers pointed out that the laptop shown during the episode was thinner than the current model and that it even featured the same Saturn wallpaper that Apple had been using for other promotions as pieces of evidence suggesting that it was indeed the MacBook Pro 2016, Cult of Mac reported.

Unfortunately, people might have gotten excited for nothing.

Tech Insider contacted Apple seeking clarification regarding the laptop, and the company informed them that the one in question was just a regular 12-inch MacBook.

Apple has seemingly put an end to the rumors of a possible leak, although some are still skeptical, but for now, it doesn't look as though the company is eager to talk more about the MacBook Pro 2016, or at least not yet.

Currently, the MacBook Pro 2016 is rumored to be released some time during the middle of next year, which would put it right alongside the MacBook Air 2016.

The other rumored laptop from Apple will reportedly be launched during next year's WWDC, and it may very well be joined there by the MacBook Pro 2016.

If the rumors prove to be true, then Apple might have a busy next few months ahead of them as the public waits for the eventual arrival of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016.
