A lot of new gadgets were launched at Apple's September 2016 event, but the MacBook Pro was not one of them. Speculations point out that its awaited release could be a surprise by happening in November, but if it does not happen by next month, the MacBook Pro is expected to launch in March of 2017.

The release of the new MacBook Pro will definitely come with new advancements in the model. This feature will be replacing the physical function keys on the keyboard, and will have specified functions depending on the application currently opened on the Mac.

Other than the OLED display touch bar, the new MacBook Pro is expected to have a Touch ID support. No other details have been released as to where and how this new feature plays into the new MacBook Pro, but it would be expected to be placed on the power button, similar to the current iPhones with the Touch ID feature.

Aside from these mentioned features, the line of MacBook Pros will allegedly be enhanced with the USB-C port and Thunderbolt 3. All of the new updates are expected to be included in the upcoming MacBook Pro will be featured in both the 13-inch and 15-inch models.

There have been rumors going around that the new line of MacBook Pros will be redefined to become physically thinner and lighter, which pose a threat to discontinue the MacBook Air series. So far, no announcements have been made about this.
