Word on the street is that Apple is releasing the Macbook Pro 2016 soon. This is apparently because previous iterations of the laptop are offered with price cuts, which is being understood as Apple's attempt to herald the brand new version.

HNGN points out that the 13.3-inch Retina Macbook Pro is currently offered in retail stores with a big discount (from $1858 to $1500). This is allegedly because Apple may be working on making sure the last of the unit has been sold before the new edition makes an entrance.

For a while now, it is being said that Macbook Pro 2016 is closer than ever but not as close as the purported Macbook Air 2016, which is expected to be announced first. The latter is believed to be made official before the year ends.

Previous speculations pointed to a Black Friday availability of the Macbook Air 2016. The shopping holiday has come and gone but there's still no sign of the laptop. Nevertheless, there are still rumors suggesting that Apple is releasing the new iteration of its Air laptop this December.

This gives the Macbook Pro 2016 a possible early 2016 release date. In fact, media outlets expect that the device will show up during the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016, which should be held within the first three months of the year.

Meanwhile, there exist other speculations that the Macbook Pro 2016 won't be seen in the flesh until the third quarter of 2016. Apple wants the spotlight on the Apple iPad Pro first, which is why the software giant is staying away from bringing out a potential device that can steal its thunder.

Other reports suggest that Apple will wait for September to put out a new version of its beloved laptop. Whenever that happens, media outlets expect that it will boast a powerful A9X or the Intel Skylake-U processor. There should be more RAM, Force Touch, USB-C ports and a fingerprint scanner.
