With the supposed leaks on the upcoming 2016 edition of the MacBook Pro, the Apple laptop flagship is looking to be one of the most improved lineups for an upcoming release. Speculations suggest that this will make the Cupertino-based tech giant highlight the 2016 MacBook Pro in its October launch.

It was previously rumored that Apple is planning to launch the new MacBook Pro during its September event. However, the press launch concluded with only the iPhone 7 as its focus. Accordingly, it is said that, because of the massive changes to some of Apple's lineups, like the 2016 MacBook Pro, the company is thinking of another launch next month. Ostensibly, this press event will focus on the new MacBook Pro, as well as other laptop series like a new MacBook Air. There are also talks that the much-awaited iPad Air 3 may also appear.

Having a separate launch event for the 2016 MacBook Pro is highly likely. According to supposed leaks, the new Pro iteration underwent massive improvements, the first major update after four years. One noted upgrade for the 2016 edition is a new OLED touch panel that is integrated with the device itself and customized depending on the task at hand. For example, it automatically displays music and playback controls when the user opens a media player app. It also alters to function key rows when opening document-processing apps.

Aside from the new feature, it is also expected that as a flagship, the 2016 MacBook Pro will feature top-tier specs. It is said that Apple has integrated that latest Intel Kaby Lake processor into the laptop, as well as an expanded RAM and onboard storage options. The design also received an overhaul, as the 2016 MacBook Pro will have a more streamlined body and profile.

With the many changes that the new laptop has undergone and as a flagship lineup, it is understandable that the 2016 MacBook Pro will be the focus of the supposed October launch, even with the simultaneous debut of other Apple lineups.
