The MacBook Pro 2016 is one of the highly anticipated products from Apple this year. Various reports are saying that the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) set to happen in June will put the latest laptop in the limelight.

GameNGuide reported that the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is said to be containing the latest processor available from Intel. It is the sixth-generation Skylake processor, making the laptop the fastest one so far. Additionally, it will also be loaded with USB Type-C ports, a Thunderbolt 3 port, and an upgraded graphic display.

It is also anticipated the upcoming laptop will be using both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs in different models, which will give more options to users.

Yibada reported that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have a "Zero-Travel" force-sensitive keyboard and will not have any physical keys. A simple flat surface will replace the keyboard area.

The Patent and Trademark Office posted the patent for the new technology that was filed last September 2015 and published last April 7. The technology's description reads: "A configurable, force-sensitive input structure for an electronic device is disclosed. The input structure has a metal contact layer, a sense layer positioned below the metal contact layer, and a drive layer capacitively coupled to the sense layer. The input structure may also have a compliant layer positioned between and coupled to the sense layer and the drive layer, a rigid base layer positioned below the drive layer, and a set of supports positioned between the metal contact layer and the rigid base layer."

The MacBook Pro 13-inch is currently available and starts at US$1299, while the 15-inch version starts at US$1999.

WWDC 2016 will take place on June 13 to 17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco and apart from the MacBook Pro 2016. It is also rumored to feature iOS 10, the iPhone 7 and a new iPad Pro.
