Fans will not have to wait longer for the new 2016 editions of Apple laptops, as speculations suggest a late October launch for the new lineups like the MacBook Pro 2016. It is also said that the event will unveil the entire overhauled lineups for Apple laptops and desktops.

According to MacRumors, reports of Apple hurrying to complete its new macOS 10.12.1 update seems to be a hint that new macOS-run models are ready for launch. Meanwhile, the industry follower has pegged a late October press event. It is highly possible, given that the Cupertino-based tech giant has just concluded a press launch for the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch 2. In addition, a late October release gives ample time for Apple to prepare the new macOS update.

Although Apple has yet to confirm the rumors, an imminent launch for the 2016 MacBook Pro is already expected, since supposed leaks about its specs and features have already made their way online. One noted improvement for the new laptop is the introduction of an OLED touch panel, and speculations say that it will customize itself depending on the applications being used. For example, the touch bar transforms into volume and playback controls when a media player app is actively used. It will then go back into function rows and shortcut keys for task-intensive apps like Word.

Meanwhile, aside from the 2016 MacBook Pro, it is also believed that the entire overhauled editions of Apple laptop and desktop lineups will appear on the October event. Forbes reports that in addition to the MacBook Pro, a new 2016 MacBook Air will also launch, with the 2016 iMac series simultaneously unveiling. The new lineups flagships will feature the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors, as well as major improvements in the configuration options of onboard storage and RAM. The new MacBooks will also likely benefit from minor redesign updates such as additional USB Type-C ports and a Touch ID feature.
