In less than two months, AMC's "Mad Men" will start airing the last seven episodes of the series. It will be a final goodbye to Don Draper, Peggy Olsen, Pete Campbell and Dick Whitman. But before they go, they are making sure that they get to show fans their appreciation for sticking with them throughout their seven wonderful seasons. 

In thanks, "Mad Men" is holding a contest for all its loyal and avid fans. The contest is called "Mad Men: The Fan Cut" wherein viewers are invited to create their own individual scenes based on the first-ever episode of the show. When AMC has gathered all the winning videos from the fans, they will compile them to recreate the pilot episode. 

The contest has already begun and AMC has already divided the clips and uploaded them onto YouTube. The clips last from eight to 38 seconds. If a fan wants to join, they have to register on the official site and then pick a clip. But there's a catch: only five people can claim a particular clip. Fans can claim a clip until March 2 and they will have to submit their videos by April 2 on YouTube as well. The winners will be announced on May 6. The fan cut pilot will air with the final episode. 

What better way to celebrate a successful TV series than to celebrate it with the fans. This should make the goodbye fairly easier, too. 

Elsewhere, show creator Matthew Weiner recently said that in the TCA panel that "each of the last seven episodes feels like a finale." He is also aware of the tantamount pressure to end the show in the best way possible. 

In an interview with Wall Street Journal last year, he said, "The road has been paved for a mixed review, no matter what... obviously ending the entire series is significantly more pressure — but it's been that way every year. I never knew if the show was coming back for most of the series, so we treated every episode 13 like it was the end. It's very bittersweet and high-pressure." 

"Mad Men" season 7 returns to AMC on April 5.
