AMC's "Mad Men" returns Sunday, April 13, and the theme of the new season is "evolution." The characters are exploring new realms in their business and personal lives, and grappling with the new challenges their season six decisions created.

At the end of season 6, Don Draper confessed that his life is a complex charade, lost his wife, and his job. The final season of "Mad Men" will reveal how Draper, whose name is actually Dick Whitman, moves on from so many losses. One promotional trailer shows Draper happy, smiling, and embracing the changes in his life, and a caption reads: "It's never too late to make a start."

Another promotional teaser features Draper walking down an airplane's stairs, leaving viewers wondering where Draper had landed. A blogger revealed the answer.

"[Draper] continues to grope his way forward, and even when total black has enveloped him emotionally, there's just the smallest ray of light that he reaches towards-- early this season, that's the smog-muted light of L.A.," Newsday wrote.

Viewers are also wondering if Peggy will finally leave the still-married Ted, who disappointed her once again in the season six finale. It also seems that Ted's deceptive ways are rubbing off on Peggy, who secured an ad client by stealing Don's pitch. It remains to be seen what else Peggy is willing to do to further her career.

The Daily News revealed that Roger may appear more often during this season, rebounding after his affairs and drug use deteriorated his work and personal life in season six. They also hint that Joan will continue to do well at the ad agency, suggesting that she has no qualms about making ethical compromises.

With so many characters emerging renewed from last season's darkeness, it is no surprise that the first episode of season seven is called "The Beginning."

The final season of "Mad Men" will begin this Sunday, April 13th, at 10 p.m. ET. There will be seven episodes this year, and seven more episodes airing spring 2015.
