Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) will be playing a dangerous game with the Russians in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "Madam Secretary."

In "Russian Roulette," Cartermatt reports that Elizabeth is scheduled to attend the United Nations program and deliver a speech. She will look at it as the opportunity to air the United States' grievance over the alleged Russian attack on the Air Force One. But before she can do so, Henry (Tim Daly) will bring her to the sidelines and divulge information pointing out to a different culprit.

The Secretary has to be very careful with the accusations she will hurl against the other country, especially in front of all United Nations leaders. President Dalton's (Keith Carradine) administration will take a hit if further investigation reveals she is wrong with the charges. A huge international incident with the United States at the center is the last thing she wants, more so if it turns out the country is barking at the wrong tree.

Last episode, Elizabeth and her team succeeded in ousting Craig Sterling (Julian Acosta) from his position as the National Security Advisor. Russell (Zeljko Ivanek) and Mike B (Kevin Rahm) pulled off a brilliant coup that forced Sterling to resign on his own. He was the one who prompted Senator Parisi (Jason Kravits) to veto the lifting of trade embargo between the United States and Cuba in episode 7 just because he was jealous of Elizabeth's connection with the President.

Meanwhile, Ephraim (Clifton Davis) traced that the man who hacked Air Force One was hiding out in Cambodia. President Dalton agreed with Elizabeth's plan to send in a CIA black ops team to quietly capture the hacker, but when the operatives got to him, he was already dead. It turned out he had been poisoned by Polonium, a signature kill associated to the Russians. Pentagon confirmed their suspicions that it was Russia who ordered the plane crash.

Not one to let grass grow under his feet, Dalton ordered a strike against Russia and in a blink of an eye, the entire country went into blackout. Elizabeth told the Russian Ambassador that the retaliation was necessary, as the United States had no intention of forgetting the incident. Is this the start of a war between the two countries?

"Madam Secretary" season 2 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
