Maddie Ziegler left 'Dance Moms' one year ago; what has changed?

Abby Lee Miller's former star pupil Maddie Ziegler quit her dance studio, as well as her reality TV show "Dance Moms," a year ago to pursue her passions and seek better opportunities. How is Ziegler doing now?

Since she left "Dance Moms," Ziegler has appeared in a bunch of singer-songwriter Sia's projects. Once again, the former Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) dancer starred in Sia's music videos. In addition, she has joined the singer on her tour, performing with her on stage.

Aside from her thriving career as a dancer, the former reality star has branched out and has done several projects, ones she most likely could not have done if she stuck with ALDC. Ziegler is part of the upcoming feature film "The Book of Henry," which is slated to debut this summer. In addition to this, Ziegler will be part of the animated film "Ballerina," wherein she stars alongside "Maleficent" actress Elle Fanning.

Furthermore, the 14-year-old dancer is already an author to a book she titled "The Maddie Diaries." She just launched her first book, which chronicles her dance career so far.

Ziegler quit "Dance Moms" in season 6. Since then, she, like many of the ALDC dancers, has admitted that she was constantly being kept under pressure while she was still competing for the studio.

"I'm done competing. I'm so glad to move on from competing, that's one thing I'm so happy about moving on from, because it was stressful," Ziegler said.

Although Ziegler admits to have learned a lot while working with Miller and her dance company, it does not seem like she regrets parting from the studio. More importantly, it seems like Ziegler will be staying clear of the dance studio. Hence, fans who are still hoping for her to return should not keep their hopes up.

More updates on Maddie Ziegler should arrive soon.
