Maddie Ziegler is officially quitting "Dance Moms" after season 6, which is currently airing. Her younger sister Mackenzie is reportedly tagging along seeing that even their mom Melissa Gisoni is leaving the Lifetime series as well.

According to a source who spoke to Entertainment Tonight, Gisoni broke the news to the cast during their latest shoot for the series. It is unclear what the younger Ziegler will be up to after the exit but Maddie seems to have it all mapped out.

Dance instructor Abby Miller's so-called favorite student will star in Sia's new film called "Sister." Maddie has starred in many of the singer-songwriter's music videos like "Elastic Heart," which started their friendship, "Chandelier" and "Big Girls Cry."

Their magical working relationship is now moving to the big screen, with Maddie said to be the lead star of the upcoming movie, which is based on a one-page story created by Sia eight years ago. The 40-year-old singer will also be directing the film.

Maddie has long been rumored to leave "Dance Moms." In fact, in the current season of the series, fans will notice her diminished presence in the initial episodes as she was filming the Colin Trevorrow drama "The Book of Henry" at that time.

The young dancer isn't shy in letting the world know of her desire to try other fields like acting and she most certainly is dedicated to making that happen. Maddie said that she is "still keeping up my dancing, but also [do] movies and scripted TV shows."

Her relationship with Sia, whom she called "the sweetest person ever," presented this opportunity and it will definitely help Maddie establish the acting career she has always dreamed of having.

Maddie's rise to fame seems to be growing more and more unstoppable. The youngster recently starred in an eight-page feature in the February issue of Seventeen Magazine.
