Mafia 3, the latest in the action game series is expected to be one of the best games ever particularly with regards to its storyline, character sketch and depth of gameplay. In fact many have even concluded that the genius of the Mafia games was never truely appreciated and that the latest addition would hopefully serve to enhance popularity.

As far as the release date for the game is concerned, the game is expected to hit markets  in early October. Mafia 3 will be simultaneously launched for all platforms: PC, Mac as well as consoles PS4 and X Box One. 

The gameplay in Mafia 3 revolves around the central character Lincoln Clay, who is a Vietnam war veteran. Having returned to avenge the murder of his crime family from the Italian mafia, there are quite a few who come to his aid. In particular he is helped by the 'Voodoo queen'  who has her own set of misgivings against the Italian mafia and wants to see them ruined. As Clay and his 3 lieutenants join hands, what results is a nail biting action experience.

Set in the New Orleans of the 60's as the protagonist takes odds against the Italian mafia, attempts are made to redefine some of the most deeply rooted concepts in human society. The game defies popular reasoning and argues that family is not just those who you are born to love but rather true family is that which you can "die fighting for".

Among the specs of the game that are being awaited impatiently is the notion of increased mobility and freedom that is a huge bonus in comparison to its predecessors. Now users can use a lot more dirty tricks including some old school hacks just to get at their enemies.

Although there are many who would criticise the game for all its violence and gore, gamers have by now seen a lot worse than intense shooting scenes and hand combat. All the gore and violence will have to be taken as a bitter pill while enjoying the superb graphics the game has to offer.

The game can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon, GAME and Steam and as an encouragement buyers are even offered bonuses and a couple of special packages that come with additional vehicles and armour are up for grabs.
