"Mafia III" has recently released a new paid downloadable content where the player can get three exclusive guns and three exclusive weapons. Although this sounds like a swell giveaway for most players, those who pre-ordered the game are infuriated with this move.

Dubbed as the "Family Kick-Back Pack," the said DLC was viewed as an insult to those who went through the trouble of pre-ordering the game. According to Game Revolution, the contents of the package are all part of the pre-order bonus for "Mafia III." Those concerned did not waste any time in airing their thoughts over the internet.

One Redditor felt that this was some sort of betrayal to some fans who initially thought they had something unique, then suddenly it isn't. People at the YouTube comments weren't at all any better, wherein one user even said that the new DLC is more like a "thanks for pre-ordering now get f****d" pack.

The said DLC contains three cars, namely the Smith Moray MX100, the Lassiter Leopard, and the Berkeley Stallion. Aside from those, it also awards the player three unique guns, which are the Trench 1938 Submachine Gun, the Camo Sniper, and the Gator Shotgun.

Apart from the loss of exclusivity, perhaps another reason why fans are outraged by Hangar 13's decision on the DLC is that there are still some bugs in the game that have yet to be resolved. Knowing that they were the select few to have the limited items gave them at least consolation despite the game's performance.

"Mafia III" revolves around the story of Lincoln Clay, a mixed-race veteran from the Vietnam war who seeks revenge for the death of his surrogate family known as the black mob. He is on the hunt for the Italian Mafia, determined to make them pay for the sins they have committed.

"Mafia III" is playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
