Sharon Raydor's (Mary McDonnell) estranged husband will return to butt heads with the squad in the upcoming episode of the hit TNT series "Major Crimes."

In "Blackout," Cartermatt reports that Jack Raydor (guest star Tom Berenger) is back, this time, to defend a suspect in a very uncompromising situation. A man who has sworn he killed his wife is attempting to withdraw his confession. When his attorney, Jack, shows with evidence of his client's alibi, the Major Crimes division cannot help but be suspicious. The video showing the suspect's innocence comes in the nick of time, it appears to be contrived. Will the team discover a conspiracy in this case?

Last episode, four people were left for dead outside a hospital. Three were pronounced dead on arrival while the last one was critical. When the squad took the case, they learned that all four victims worked in big-time corporations and were obviously very rich. After checking the bodies, the medical examiner told them he found traces of fabric from oriental rugs. This led the team to a rug shop where they learned that all four were playing cards before they were shot.

The surviving victim's daughter then showed up, claiming that her father's driver was nowhere to be found. When they brought him in, they learned that there were actually five players in the game. The source told them that the fifth person lost a game and then left. The suspect refused to cooperate with the authorities, even after it was discovered that he owned a .45 caliber semi-automatic gun, the same caliber used in the shooting. For all intents and purposes, he was the one who did it.

But a new lead cropped up to change the game, as the driver's son was discovered to be guilty enough to run. It turned out he knew the places his father went to, as he kept tabs on him after the latter had stroke. That was when he hatched the plan of robbing the players.

"Major Crimes" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
