Longtime lovers Henry Cavill and Gina Carano have broken up for the second time around. The once-inseparable lovebirds have parted ways yet again for reasons still not known.

During the first phase of their relationship that ran for almost a year (2012-2013), the two graced the red carpet several times. However, it ended in May 2013 and Cavill went on to date "Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco by July. They shared adventures by hiking and going to dinner together but it was only short-lived.

The "Man of Steel" star and "The Fast and the Furious" actress were back in each other's arms by October 2013, as the two were spotted on a romantic dinner date. While the couple kept their revived romance a secret at that time, everyone believed that the two have indeed reunited. Since then, many thought that the two were taking their romance to the next level as they welcomed a charming Akita puppy in their lives. Their pet came from Big Bear Akitas in Arkansas, which only had endearing words for the then-couple.

"Both Henry and Gina are genuine and a joy to be around," the breeders said of the couple who visited them in Arkansas to personally meet them.

"It was truly an honor to add them to our extended family and thank them for their patience in meeting us and our children," added the breeders as quoted by E! Online and IB Times.

While everything seems to point out that the award-winning MMA warrior is no longer together with her "Superman," Kpop Starz reports that their careers remain high-flying. Cavill's new superhero movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit the silver screen in March 25, 2016 while Carano has her hands full with her appearances on "Bus 657" and Kickboxer."
