Manchester City have been thriving in all competitions this season and will look to continue the success when they pay Juventus a visit today, Wednesday, at Juventus Stadium for Champions League action.

The Citizens already qualified for the next round in the Champions League but would still aim to get a victory and bounce back from their last outing.

City are currently riding a two-match winless streak following a scoreless draw facing Aston Villa and a 4–1 defeat to Liverpool both in the English Premier League.

It seems like the challenges are piling up for Manchester City as according to BBC Sport, the club will have to take on Juventus missing six players.

The report said defenders Eliaquim Mangala, Pablo Zabaleta, and Vincent Kompany, with midfielders Samir Nasri and David Silva, and striker Wilfried Bony will not be playing in today's game.

"We have a difficult situation," Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said. "It's a test to win in a difficult stadium against a strong team."

The Citizens are leading Group D of the Champions League with nine points in four games played, winning three and dropping one.

A Wednesday victory will not just secure the club the top spot in the group but will also give it momentum heading to the next round of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Juventus are looking to continue an unbeaten streak, which currently stands at four matches. The last defeat suffered by the Italian club was in Serie A back in October and since then has found a way to survive in their next matches.

As part of that streak, Juventus have won their last two matches against Empoli (3–1) and Milan (1–0) in Serie A.

Juventus are second in Group D with eight points and a win against Manchester City will grant them the top spot in the group.
