The leading club in the Premier League will be in action this Saturday as Manchester City aim to keep the top spot when they play against Liverpool at the City of Manchester Stadium. 

Man City will be heading to Saturday's match riding a nine-match unbeaten streak in all competitions and are coming off a scoreless draw facing Aston Villa in the Premier League in their last outing. 

Budding midfielder Raheem Sterling will again have the spotlight when they take on Liverpool, since it is his former club. Before Sterling joined the Citizens, he was in a drama-filled situation with his former team. 

Liverpool never wanted to part ways with Sterling, but the latter turned down a massive deal, with his agent saying that his client will not be re-signing with the club. 

Last July, both clubs reached an agreement which allowed the transfer of the 20-year-old to Manchester City. 

In other Man City news, striker Sergio Aguero will be back in the starting lineup against the Reds despite just coming off a hamstring injury, because fellow striker Wilfried Bony is now the one nursing the same injury, the Manchester Evening News reported. 

Currently, the Citizens have 26 points to lead the Premier League and are currently tied with Arsenal who are sitting on the second spot. 

A win today, Saturday, will give Manchester City 29 points and will likely keep them on top of the table. 

Meanwhile, Liverpool will try to improve their standing and move further in the top 10 when they play against Man City. The Reds are also aiming to bounce back since they lost in their last Premier League match facing Crystal Palace, 2–1. 

Liverpool are on the 10th spot in the table with 17 points, tied with Everton who are on the ninth spot. 

In a report by BBC Sport, striker Daniel Sturridge could play for the Reds as he is already fit to compete, but the decision rests on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
